Zionism
The main idea of Zionism is that it is the belief that there should be an establishment of a country or region that is populated with many Jews, such as with countries like Palestine or Israel. Also, with the idea of all of the Jews coming together as one nation as a way to fight against antisemitism and consider the region " a national home" or a Jewish state. This explains why Zionism is also known as "Jewish Nationalism." Zionism was being spread especially after the time of WWII when Hitler killed and mistreated so many Jews during the holocaust. In fact, over 6 million Jews were killed during this time. This tragedy caused much awareness and support for Zionism since many countries then realized how mistreated Jews were, for counties like the United States were never really interested in Zionism until they heard about the Jews' struggles in WWII. After this war, although many Jews suffered from this event, there was some good that occurred, which was having more countries understand the importance of Zionism.
