Totalitarianism
i am awesome!!!
Totalitarianism was a method in ruling with violent force and controlling all
aspects of society. One main country that practiced certain techniques of
totalitarianism was Nazi Germany. Throughout this nation, the government had
much power over the people especially considering how they enforced their power.
One way that the government influenced its nation was through propaganda. The
media, whether it was television, the radio, etc., played a very large role, for
it created bias opinions on how great the government was or how awful its
enemies were, like Jews for example. Since the media was so popular and overpowering, it brought
many people on to their side, for it was very influential. However, a more drastic way the government spread its influence was through its enemies, for anyone or anything that was considered a threat to them was either killed or tortured for everyone to take notice upon and realize that they should consider listening to the government, unless they want to get hurt. This also introduces the idea of concentration camps, which were areas where people, like the Jews for example, would suffer and eventually die from things such as starvation or chemical showers as a way to decrease the amount of unwanted or threatening people towards the government. This shows how extreme totalitarianism can truly be in certain areas of the world.
