Pancho Villa
my mustache is gorgeous be jelly
Pancho Villa was a bold Mexican Revolutionary leader who stood up for the poor against the government. Some people knew him as a "modern day Robin Hood". Pancho Villa, whose real name was Doroteo Arango, grew up on a hacienda in San Juan del Rio where his dad was a sharecropper. He was able to witness poverty and the rich becoming more wealthy by taking advantage of the lower class first- hand. He witnessed this when one day the owner of the hacienda wanted to rape his 12 year old sister. Villa shot the owner and ran away, and this marked the start of his life on the run. In 1869, he joined a group of "bandits" and they stole from the rich and gave the money to the poor. Much of the country was in poverty, so they thought that by doing this they would help the majority of the people.
