Vladimir Lenin
Im lookin at your face if you didn't know
Vladimir Lenin was a man that was portrayed as a bold revolutionary leader, but also as an brutal and vicious tyrant. He was seen has a revolutionist due to his goals of wanting to create equality for the lower class, such as for factory workers. This was a goal for his role-model as well, who was known as Karl Marx, for he too wished to have equality among social classes as well. Lenin also decided to cease the power of the czar and instead declare a soviet government, in which was made up of workers, soldiers and even peasants. This would then cause Russia to create a better form of rule that would provide the people of Russia with more say in the government. Also, Lenin was known as the founder of the Russian Communist Party and eventually declared himself to be a Marxist as well. However, even though Lenin had good intentions of creating an equal society, it was the way he tried to fulfill these goals that led to him being called a political tyrant. For it has been said that those who oppose Vladimir Lenin would then have to deal with his violent tantrums and his intimidating behavior. He also was known to have killed many innocent lives during his time of power when trying to create a "better" society. Finally, in late 1917, Lenin led the October Revolution. However, this revolution eventually caused a three year civil war after it. This civil war that Lenin helped start became the main cause for famine and poverty throughout the country. These unfortunate results cause peasant uprisings and strikes that endangered Lenin's government of remaining in power. Lenin then decided to create the New Economic Policy, in which peasants could then trade and sell, produce like grains to help support themselves. Lenin eventually became less available to work and began deciding who would take his place after he died. Lenin passed away on January 21, 1924 and became a known as a man who made a large impact on Russia, both negatively and positively.
