Adolf Hitler
Adolf Hitler was born in April 1889 on the Austria-Germany border. He left school at the age of 16 and struggled to live as a painter for a while in Vienna. These experiences are what give him his first thoughts of radical reform.
When WWI broke out Hitler fought in the army. After the war he joined the German Workers Party or DAP. There they discussed what to do about post war Germany. It was also decided that most of the blame was to be bestowed upon the Jews and the Bolsheviks. By 1921 he became the leader of the new National Socialist German Workers Party also known as the Nazi Party.
After a failed attempt at an armed uprising in Munich, Hitler was imprisoned for 9 months. Upon his release he began to build up the Nazi party. He used his skills in public speaking to get people on his side, and used violence to both strike fear into their hearts and to prove that he could lead them to victory. Hitler's following was only increased by the economic depressions and political turmoil that was going on around this time period. Come election time the Nazi party was the largest group in parliament.
Hitler was later named Chancellor. This gave him the dictatorial power to impose laws that singled out the Jews. He also began to build up
the military which later led to WWII. Hitlers invasion of Poland in 1939 was the beginning of WWII. The Germans had great military success during the war and decided it was time to invade the Soviet Union.
Along their conquests all the Jewish people they came across were rounded up and killed. The Jews and other people who were thought to be lesser than the German race were either killed or sent to work on concentration calms where they would eventually die.
After Hitler declared war with the United States, their resources began to run out. As troops were advancing on both sides Hitler committed suicide in his bunker.
