Command Economy
In a command economic system, a central planning agency has almost total say in how the economy "should" work. They regulate the prices and decide how much of the good will be produced and the individual citizen has no say. This is very common in communist societies. Many problems arise with a command economic system though. Since this is not based on supply or demand, usually to many or too little of the food is produced, so this leads to many shortages and surpluses.
In Eastern Europe, many people had this problem. Since it wasn't based on supply and demand, many people didn't get what they needed, such as basic goods like food and clothes. Only the central planning decided what the people recieved, which forced the people into famine and poverty. It was a very unfair system in my opinion.
