Jiang Jieshi
Jiang Jieshi was a bold military, revolutionary and political leader who lead many troops into various different battles and was a strong nationalist. When Jieshi was 18, he studied in a military school. It was here where he was inspired to take part in the revolt against the Quinn Dynasty. Jieshi later joined the Chinese Nationalists Party (KMT) which was made by Sun Yixian. Sun Yixian believed in freedom, democracy and nationalism, which were very similar to Jieshi's. After Yixian's death, Jieshi took over the KMT and was able to reunify most of China. At the time that he was a military leader, China had many conflicts, such as an invasion by Japan into China and a Civil War between the Chinese Nationalists Party and the communists. The communists ended up winning the war and they set up the People's Republic of China. After the war, Jieshi and the KMT ran away to Taiwan where they set up the government that Yixian had originally wanted. Until Jiang Jieshi's death, many countries still believed that this government was the real government of China, which proves his lasting impact on the world.
