The Munich Pact was official on September 29, 1938 and it was an agreement after WWI between Great Britain, Germany, France and Italy, in which eventually became a cause for WWII. The four leaders that discussed this agreement was Mussolini, Hitler, Chamberlain, and French Prime Minister Édouard Daladie. The agreement was formed in Munich, Germany, hence the Munich Pact, and was meant to meet Hitler's terms as way to avoid any further confrontations since WWI had already hurt much of these countries already, especially for Britain and France. Before the Pact was created, Hitler had his eyes on Czechoslovakia and wanted to have more of it under German Control, since they already had Sudetenland in Czechoslovakia This resulted in becoming one of Hitler's main demands in the Pact. Mussolini then decided to give in to Germany as a way to stop German imperialism over other countries, for Hitler promised that if he were to gain this land, it would prevent him of taking over anymore land. This, however, was a promise that would soon be broken. After the agreement was formed, German forced made their way into Czechoslovakia and took other parts of the land, he even eventually encouraged Poland and Hungary to take parts of Czechoslovakia as well. Later on in March 1939, Hitler went on and took over the rest of Czechoslovakia. Britain and France then felt that Hitler would try to take over Poland next so they declared Poland's independence. However, Germany did invade Poland and help start up WWII.
